Sarah is a contemporary landscape painter working from her home studio in Stamford, Lincolnshire. She is inspired by rural landscapes and town allotments and makes colourful, uplifting paintings in acrylic and mixed media. Aiming to evoke a ‘sense of place’, rather than the literal depiction of a location, she enjoys using expressive brushstrokes, scratches and drawn lines and she has a real passion for colour. Sarah works both on location and in the studio from sketches made outdoors.

Sarah’s work has been shown at the Mall Galleries in London with The New English Art Club, The Society of Women Artists, The Royal Society of British Artists and The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. She also exhibits her paintings in UK contemporary galleries and with the Welland Valley Art Society and the Leicester Society of Artists. She enjoys teaching occasional workshops/demonstrations.
