I was born in London, and have lived in Surrey since 1967 and have been showing my oil paintings with Art Societies since the early 1970’s. I studied oil painting in this country and Italy and have developed my own style, depicting my love of the English countryside. In particular, my paintings concentrate on landscapes with hedgerows and wild flowers in their natural habitat. I regard myself as very fortunate to live near the North Downs, which have been a constant source of inspiration and the subject of many of my paintings.

I have been a member of the Society of Women Artists since 1994, and a member of The Society of Botanical Artists since 1999. Locally I am a long-standing member of Epsom & Ewell Art Group, and the Croydon Art Society, winner of Art Club of the Year Competition 2018.

I have won many Awards for my works, some of which have been selected by the Medici Society for greeting cards, and by others, for prints, covers for Compact Discs, tapes, and calendars.

My work has been regularly shown in London (Mall Galleries & The Westminster Gallery) and several of my paintings have been acquired for clients in Japan, America, Canada and South Africa.
