CHRISTINE FLINTHAM
SBA SFP
Christine has, over time, put her hand to landscape, still life, life studies and portrait painting and now focuses on botanical art. The quality of this work has developed through practice and ongoing professional development with competent artists in the field.
Working in watercolour on hot-pressed paper, detailed botanical studies evolve that are true to the plant, while showing movement and style. She works to commission, sells successfully and her work is in a number of private collections. Her study of Papaver orientalis was chosen for the poster for a national society exhibition.
Setting herself rigorous targets she successfully gained membership of three prestigious national societies - The Society of Women Artists, The Society of Botanical Artists and The Society of Floral Painters. She has now been invited to be part of Florum’s group of invited artists.
