Story telling is a major aspect within my work and I strive to create a narrative and convey my thoughts to the viewer. I have been developing a method of over-layering images and often use texture and design elements to further describe relationships or to give a sense of place. I have travelled to Africa to research fabric designs and obtain reference material for my paintings. I hope my paintings combine unusual techniques with a deep feeling and sensitive understanding of my subjects.

 

I am very proud to be a member of the Society of Women Artists and The Society of Equestrian Artists. I have exhibited widely in London, Paris, Holland and the USA, where my work has won many awards but the highlight for me was winning The Derwent Award at the SWA annual exhibition 2014.
