BELINDA TONG

artist.jpg

Belinda was encouraged to make a career in art when still at school but did not take up her brushes until her family had grown up.

A love of plants, flowers, animals and beautiful objects has been the driving force in most of Belinda's work, rendered mainly in oil paint or pastel, with the occasional work in acrylics.

Early ventures onto a wider stage led to exhibiting with the Society of Botanical Artists and Membership of the United Society of Artists, of which she was Chairman for a short while. Belinda became a member of the Society of Women Artists in 1997 and was Treasurer of the Society for a number of years. She has also exhibited with the R.O.I. and in a number of private galleries.

Commissioned work includes animal portraits and paintings of favourite objects and gardens.
