Jill Moger is a self taught ceramic sculptor of wildlife, predominantly reptiles. Each piece is carefully researched and then individually modelled and intricately detailed in stoneware or porcelain clay, then fired in an electric kiln up to five times to achieve the desired colour effects. Jill was elected a member of SWA in 2001 and that year won the President’s and Vice Presidents’ Choice Award. She also won the Anthony J Lester Art Critic Award in 2006. She was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists in 1999 and is currently SWLA honorary secretary and newsletter editor. Exhibitions include: Bonhams ‘Art of the Living World’, Singapore; Yorkshire Sculpture Park; Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Gloucestershire; Nature in Art Museum and Art Gallery, Gloucester (with work in their permanent collection) and annually with the SWA and SWLA at the Mall Galleries, London. Jill Moger’s work is permanently represented at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, Waterloo, London. www.jillmogersculptures.co.uk Next Artists Page >
