Sheila began working in pastel in 1988 exhibiting in London and the south. Her work has been selected for the Pastel Society, New English Art Club , Marine Society and Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. She was elected a member of the Society of Women Artists in 1995 and the Pastel Society in 2011. She has won several awards including the Unison Pastel Award at the Pastel Society (2009) and Most Popular Painting at the SWA Annual exhibition (2008).
