I am a figurative artist, living and working in Havering, Essex. I studied Fine Art  in the 1960’s at the Brighton College of Art and Crafts in Sussex. 

My focus is portraiture and the human form,  and my particular style of painting was developed through work that I did with dancers, acrobats and gymnasts over a two-year period.  During that time I  became interested in surface textures which subsequently reshaped  my visual technique.

I have exhibited with the SWA since 2005, becoming a member in 2007. I have exhibited with the Islington Art Circle in London, and the Eastern Open Exhibition in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. More recently I exhibited work at the Picturecraft Gallery in Holt, Norfolk and the Queens Theatre Gallery in Havering.  I also exhibit with the Essex Open Exhibition at the Beecroft Gallery and with the Essex Wildlife Trust.

I am represented by the Studio Eleven Gallery in Westcliff,  Essex.
