Cathy lives in the South West of England and although Cathy has not had formal artistic training, she has worked as an animal artist for over 25 years and is a Full Member of The Society of Equestrian Artists and has also been elected a full member of the Society of Women Artists. She specialises in monochrome pencil drawings and her style of work is very precise and detailed to the point of being photorealistic.

Cathy won the St Cuthbert’s Mill award with the SWA in 2008 for her drawing Los Caballos and also won the prize in the Society of Equestrian Artists in 2003 for the picture the public would most like to take home with El Espirítu de Andalucía.  She has also won a number of scholarships within the SEA.

Cathy also worked with horses for many years which has given her a deep understanding of equine anatomy, which has become central to her talent as a refined equestrian artist. She also applies her skills to producing pencil portraits of dogs, cats and various other animals and subjects.
