| ANNUAL EXHIBITION |

Our very successful Annual Summer Exhibition has now Closed Featuring over 500 stunning artworks, including sculpture, it was opened by HRH Princess Michael of Kent at the Private View on 30th June All works must be collected from 17 Carlton House Terrace on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July, 10am to 5 pm Works not collected will be removed and stored by Picture Post and will incur costs.

Jean
Haines' new book, "Colour
and Light in Watercolour", will be launched at the exhibition
and Jean will be signing copies during her demonstration on Wednesday

Sera Knight Friday 9th July ~ Cath Inglis * The President has been requested to sit for Caroline de Peyrecave's portrait demonstration on Thursday 8th. Caroline hopes to exhibit the work at the 2011 exhibition. Drawing
Masterclass ~ Friday 2nd July (between 10 a.m.-12 p.m)
A
drawing workshop will be held on Friday morning in the Main
Gallery (towards the back of the room) Society Members who are
interested in taking part or observing the workshop, are very
welcome to join us. This
workshop is run by Royal Society of Portrait Painters artist Robin-Lee
Hall and aims to encourage students to examine different approaches to
drawing, through discussion and exercises, working from a clothed
model. During the workshop, the students will produce work suitable
for their exam portfolio. We hope you enjoy this years exhibition of new work by leading SWA Members and talented non members.
Jean will be on hand to sign copies of her new book whilst giving an informal demonstration at the gallery. Jean says she is having a fantastic year as she has been selected to show her work at the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Exhibition to be held at the Mall Galleries between 24th and 20th May. Jean also has 'Watercolour with Life' workshops available in September details of which can be found on her website.
